About the event
NECS invites you to our monthly Spoken Word Event, in which, we'll have a poetry writing workshop for the first half hour, and then participants will be invited to present their poetry in open mic fashion.
If anyone wishes to present another art form, we'd love that!
The workshop will take place at Studio Theater in Exile at Hudson Valley MOCA (1701 Main St., Peekskill, NY 10566) From 6:30 to 8:00 PM

Though workshop writing prompts will vary each month, the overarching theme will center around matters of society and NECS core values: creativity, joy, nobility, empathy, justice and service.
Since we also include youth to participate, we ask that participants keep their art "clean.”
