NECS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates with limited resources, relying on support from the community to sustain our programming. Because we know there are families in need, we offer a sliding scale for program fees. While we don’t require supporting documents to demonstrate financial hardship, we do ask that families pay as much as they can afford. This is what enables us to offer our programs to families in more difficult financial situations.
NECS’ program fees help to cover the expenses of running the program and allow us to provide scholarships and sliding scale fees. We will not be able to offer honor-based sliding scale discounts to those in need if those who can afford the fee choose to pay a discounted amount. When registering for a program, please select the highest fee your family can afford.
At New Era Creative Space (NECS), we believe in making our enriching programs accessible to all children and youth. Our pricing structure is designed with affordability in mind, and we offer additional support for families facing extreme financial hardship.
Existing Affordability Measures
Our program fees already incorporate significant subsidies, meaning parents are already receiving a discounted rate. To further assist families, we offer:

Tiered Pricing System: This system provides various price points to accommodate different financial situations.

Installment Plans: Parents have the option to pay program fees in three monthly installments.
Additional Scholarship for Extreme Hardship
If, despite our subsidized prices, tiered system, and installment options, your family faces extreme hardship and is genuinely unable to afford the program fees, additional or full scholarship support may be available.
How to Request an Additional or Full Scholarship
To request an additional scholarship due to extreme hardship, please email info@necspace.org with a detailed request. We will review your submission and get back to you regarding your eligibility and available support.

NECS will never turn away a family due to an inability to pay. By sponsoring a program or participant, you help us further our mission of inspiring stronger communities through creative programs.

We understand that circumstances can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent for all participants in our children and youth programs.

Full Refund: A full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee, will be issued for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the program's start date.

Partial Credit: For cancellations made between 7 and 13 days prior to the program's start date, a 50% credit towards a future New Era Creative Space program will be issued. No cash refunds will be given.

No Refunds or Credits: No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the program's start date, or for no-shows, withdrawals after the program has begun, or dismissal from a program due to behavioral issues, except in cases of medical emergency (documentation required), in which case a pro-rated refund may be considered.

Program Cancellation by New Era Creative Space: In the unlikely event that New Era Creative Space cancels a program, participants will receive a full refund.
