Sponsor A Child Campaign.

Dear NECS Supporters and community members,

Want to help make a difference in the life of a child less fortunate? Want to help bridge the opportunity gap for African American and Latino children?

If so, please consider sponsoring a child to attend a week or more of camp summer 2018.

NECS is running a campaign to get people to sponsor a poor child for one week of summer camp. It only costs about $250/child per week to go to our camp. Most of the kids in our district (mostly African American and latino) do not have the means to do anything during the summer and by the end of summer fall behind. And research clearly shows that kids in impoverished neighborhood regress over the summer.

We want to change that. So I am reaching out to ask people to sponsor a child. Our goal is to get at least 40 kids (over the course of 8 weeks) off the streets and into our camps. Our programs this summer include, architecture, art, cooking, chorus, engineering, film making, historical strategy game, Leadership, STEAM, virtues camp, web design, and more.

To sponsor a child, please make checks to NECS and mail to New Era Creative Space, 1016 Brown Street, Peekskill NY. Please earmark it for Summer 2018. Let’s make this happen!
