Emily's work explores home and domestic space examines how identity, memory, and the cultural ideals tied to the “American Dream” are constructed and experienced. Through layered paintings and sculptural works that play with scale, material, and context, familiar domestic imagery is reimagined to reveal the social structures and personal histories embedded within everyday life.

Signs, Games and Scenes

“Signs, Games and Scenes” presents new paintings by Anya Steger that emerge through a dialogue between intention and revelation, where initial ideas of landscape, color, and form transform into signs and scenes. Like visual patchworks that depict a pictorial space of abstract shapes and folk-inflected figures, these works invite viewers into a game of interpretation in which meaning continually unfolds.
